A St Helens church has issued a desperate plea for help after its roof collapsed.

All Saints Church in Sutton has been forced to close its doors and instead use its hall as an emergency venue for its services.

Church bosses say they now need to raise £20,000 to fund repairs at the Emmasbridge Road church.

It is believed parts of the ceiling collapsed last month.
