Town hall chiefs in St Helens have created a number of changes to the way residents can get in touch with them.
From Monday, January 4, the council’s contact centre phone lines will be open from 8am to 6pm, where previously it opened until 8pm.
On weekends, the centre’s phone lines will remain open between 10am and 2pm.
Meanwhile, self-service kiosks have been installed within the contact centre’s reception.
The Contact Centre at Wesley House, Corporation Street, WA10 1HF, will continue to open 9am-5pm weekdays.
Officials have also recently created a free mobile app which allows residents to contact the council in a quick and handy way.
