The annual Rainford Walking Day is set to take place this weekend.
On Saturday (June 16) the procession of faith with both young and old people - will parade through the centre of the village.
Mayor of St Helens Coun Geoff Almond will be in attendance too as all the local schools, brownies, scouts, guides and churches take part in the walk.
As ever, a fun fair will be in place at the back of the Golden Lion pub and many other local businesses get involved to show their support for the village too.
Among them this year are Cook and Johnson butchers, who will be putting on an Ox roast, and Wendy’s Flowers, who will be serving up free drinks of squash for all the walkers.

* Corpus Christi Primary School is set to hold its annual summer gala day on the afternoon of Sunday, July 8, when there will be lots of activities for the youngsters to enjoy.
* The next public event in Rainford will be the annual Rainford Show on Saturday, September 1.
