A car has smashed into the front of a house in Preston.
Emergency services were called to Sandygate Lane in Broughton, to reports a car had left the road and crashed into a house, coming to rest in the front room.
Nobody was hurt in the crash, which happened at about 3.30pm on Wednesday, but firefighters had to shore up the building to prevent further structural damage.
Urban Search and Rescue teams from Bamber Bridge supported the building, before firefighters used a winch to extract the car from the house.
Police said a woman had lost control of a silver Suzuki Grand Vitara and gone through the lounge of the property.
A spokesman said the driver was in shock, but was out of the vehicle when officers arrived.
The crash caused extensive damage to the wall of the house, and the council was notified.
Nobody was arrested.
