Police are continuing to treat the death of a 17-year-old Rainhill boy as “unexplained”.
Officers were called to a property in Sandhurst Road at around 3.50pm last Friday (February 19).
Emergency services were called and the teenager was taken by ambulance to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A police spokesman said: “At this stage of the investigation, officers are treating the death as unexplained.
The male has been formally identified as a 17-year-old from the Rainhill area. His family have been informed and a post mortem will also be carried out to establish the cause of death.”
