Biker suffers suspected broken arms and leg in Rainford bypass horror smash

A motorcyclist is recovering in hospital from two suspected broken arms and a broken leg after a crash on the Rainford bypass.

The 39-year-old was airlifted to Aintree University Hospital on Tuesday following the collision with the Peugeot car.

The 23-year-old female driver was treated for shock at the scene and a cut to her head. She was cut from her car by Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service.

Emergency services closed the Rainford bypass while they dealt with the incident.
