A generous St Helens teenager will be transformed into a mermaid to help a local salon develop its reputation among national beauty companies.
Bethany Cammack was asked by Shimmers Hair Salon to take part in a beauty campaign after it had been chosen to create hair styles and images for a leading extension company, Flip-In Hair.
But not only did the 19-year-old, who has a string of modelling competition wins to her name, agree to take part, she also decided to donate her modelling fee to breast cancer awareness.
Creative staff at Shimmers now plan to transform Bethany into a mermaid as part of a makeover to demonstrate the versatility of the product.
Salon owner Lynne Webster said: “I had noticed that Bethany does a lot of charity work and fund-raising, so she asked would I donate her fee to her chosen charities which I thought was a fabulous idea.
“My work colleague, Helen Sheron, is the leading stylist for the shoots and currently ranked in the top 20 of Tigi young hairdressers for this year. Therefore Helen will be transforming Bethany into a mermaid as well as doing a ‘pink look’ in order to support Breast Cancer awareness Month in October.”
The Boundary hair salon was recently chosen to create imagery for Flip-In Hair, a damage free hair extension system in order to update the Flip-In Hair website. The creations will also be used on social media and could be featured in several hair magazines.
Bethany’s modelling fee will be donated to Children’s cancer charities and the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign.
