THIS fascinating 1930s photo was brought in by Reporter reader Barry Dodd.
One of the oldest snapshots we’ve seen in Back In Time this year, it shows a group of a dozen dressed-up youngsters on the back of a horse and cart.
The lady on the left is Mr Dodd’s grandmother, Sutton entrepreneur Annie Price, who used to use the cart to gather fire wood.
Mr Dodd, of Fingerpost, thinks this shot may have been taken on a walking day in Sutton.
He doesn’t know exactly when it was taken though, but, judging by the age of his grandmother, thinks it was probably in the early 1930s.
Mr Dodd also says there’s a chance his mother may be among the group of fresh-faced youngsters catching a lift!
