Police are appealing for the safe return of medication which was lost in St Helens.

The medication comprises of 26 tablets of Zopiclone and was dropped in the North Road area of St Helens on May 8.

Taking Zopiclone if it has not been prescribed to you can cause drowsiness or result in being put into a comatose state. Overdosing on Zopiclone would result in hospitalisation.

Officers are warning people that any medication which hasn’t been prescribed for them can be dangerous and, in some circumstances, can prove fatal.

Anyone who finds any of the medication should immediately hand it in to any pharmacy or police station or call officers on the 101 number.
