Merseyside Police is appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision which left a 22-year-old man with serious injuries.

The incident took place between 1am and 4am on Sunday July 17 on Cross Lane close to the junction with Florida Way in Prescot when the male, a pedestrian, was struck by a vehicle.

He suffered a broken wrist, kidney damage and cuts and grazing to his legs, back and arms. The vehicle, not further described, left the area.
