170 plants from at suspected cannabis farm in Earlestown

Three men have been charged with drugs production after a huge cannabis farm was discovered at a house in Heald Street.

Police executed a warrant at the property in Earlestown over the weekend.

They found 170 cannabis plants along with equipment associated with the drug’s production.

Three men were later arrested and have subsequently been charged.

They are: Quoc Long Pham, aged 22; Dung Tien Nguyen, aged 40, and a 17-year-old lad, who cannot be named for legal reasons.

All three are from College Street in St Helens.

They were remanded in custody to a later date.
