There are plenty of events going on in St Helens over the coming weeks ... here are some of the best.

St Helens own four piece blues and rock outfit The Swampstompers will be raising the roof at The Rendezvous Bar in Church Street, St Helens from 9.30pm till late on Friday, April 22. Free admission, fine ales and a friendly atmosphere. It’s a no brainer!

The next meeting of the St Helens and District Group of Diabetes UK will be on Wednesday, May 4 at 7.30pm in St Helens United Reformed Church, King Street. The church is next to Windle Pilkington Hall. The meeting will start with a very brief annual general meeting, then there is a change to the published programme, as due to unforeseen circumstances, Jan Cardwell is unable to come, Dr Sid McNulty has very kindly stepped in and will be talking to us on the subject of cholesterol and diabetes. Anyone with an interest in diabetes is welcome to attend, admission is free and refreshments are available after the meeting. We also have a large selection of diabetes leaflets available.
