The Lynk-up group (for people who have lost a loved one), will meet between 2pm and 4pm. A support group meets once a month for refreshments, chat and activities. Meet people in a similar situation and talk in confidence if you need to. Men and women welcome. The meeting is at St John the Baptist church, St John’s Street, Earlestown. All Saints Church in Ellamsbridge Road, Sutton, will be holding a ‘new to you’ sale starting at 10.30am. There will be many stalls, nearly new, rummage, bric-a-brac, plants, cake stall. books, and tombola. Breakfast refreshments will be available. Entrance 20p.

g The annual Mass of Thanksgiving for the life and work of Elizabeth Prout (Mother Mary Joseph CP) the foundress of the Cross and Passion Sisters is being celebrated at the Church of St Anne and Blessed Dominic, Sutton, at 2.30pm. Chief Celebrant is Fr Nicholas Postlethwaite CP. Guest speaker Sr. Rosaleen Murray CP. This year is 150th Anniversary of Elizabeth’s death. All are welcome.

g St Paul’s Church, Chain Lane, Blackbrook, will be holding a plant sale from 9.30am to 2pm. All Welcome.

Every Tuesday

St Helens Parish Church holds a short lunchtime service, starting at 12.30pm. The 20-minute service includes hymns and Bible readings.

g St Michael’s All Angels church on Gartons Lane, Clock Face, holds craft classes for beginners from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Why not pop in and join them? Parishioners also enjoy a cup of tea and a chat after every Sunday’s 9.30am service.

West Street Independent Methodist Church holds its luncheon club providing a three-course meal and hot drink for £3.70 in the church hall between 11.45am and 12.30pm. There is no need to book.
