MONDAY, JANUARY 21: Central Library in St Helens town centre stages an exhibition entitled ‘The Last Goodbye: The Rescue of Children from Nazi Europe’. A travelling exhibition from the Jewish Museum in London, it runs until noon on January 25.
THURSDAY, JANUARY 24: The next meeting of the Newton-le-Willows Gardeners’ Association will be held at the Newton Cricket Club on Crow Lane East from 7.30pm. This will be the Annual General Meeting. All members and prospective members are welcome and light refreshments will be provided.
