The force will be with St Helens Star Wars fans at a special event next week.

To celebrate the release of the new Star Wars film “The Force Awakens” Central Library is inviting all Star Wars fans, young and old, to a galaxy far, far away and join in the fun at Central Library.

Star Wars themed rooms will be created in the library, including Endor, verdant home to the Ewoks; Tatooine, Luke Skywalker’s desert homeworld and the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon, along with themed activities to bring out your Jedi powers.

Do you know your Wookies from your Wampas and your Darth Maul from your Death Star? Test your knowledge by trying the Star Wars quiz and take part in Star Wars bingo and crafts, and “Sharpen your Jedi skills” by guessing what’s inside a box by touch and smell alone.

Finally, will you become a Jedi or are you drawn to the Dark Side? You’ll have to complete the ultimate “Jedi Challenge” to find out!

Costumes are a must and there will be prizes awarded for the best dressed character.

Central Library’s Star Wars event on November 25 from 4.30pm-6.30pm and is completely free. For more information please contact Central Library on 01744 676954 or email amandabrown@sthelens.gov.uk.
