It might be some time off before Christmas but that’s not stopped bosses at the St Helens Theatre Royal getting ready early for pantomime season.
The Corporation Street theatre will be staging the enchanting tale of Cinderella with Corrie’s Marc Baylis and Benidorm star Crissy Rock.
The pantomime will run from December 4 to January 10.
Baylis, who plays Corrie villian Rob Donovan, said: “I’m very much looking forward to appearing in panto at the Theatre Royal and spending Christmas entertaining audiences of St Helens. Cinderella is going to be great show so bring the whole family and join in the festivities.”
Laura Gregory, Jack Rigby, Simon Foster, Ben Engelen and Charlie Griffiths all join Marc and Crissy to complete this year’s cast.
Cinderella tells the story of a beautiful girl who is reduced to a life of servitude by her 2 ugly step-sisters, but that is all set to change when an invitation to a grand ball at the palace arrives.
With a bit of magic and some help from her friend Buttons, Cinderella is transformed in to the belle of the ball. But what will happen at the stroke of midnight?
With real Shetland ponies, enchanted pumpkins, sparkling glass slippers, Prince Charming, ugly step-sisters and a Fairy Godmother to make audience’s dreams come true – be sure to book your tickets early for the most lavish panto in all the land.
