Council chiefs are backing a campaign to put an end to domestic violence. Cabinet members Andy Bowden and Richard McCauley joined public health workers at an eye-catching town centre event designed to drive home the message.
“This campaign is all about encouraging people to come forward as we aim to stop the stigma surrounding domestic abuse. Getting people to talk about domestic abuse is just one important step in tackling this issue,” said Coun Bowden. Supporters can pledge their support by making a heart shape with their hands and posting on Facebook.
