TALENTED St Helens artist Kerry Lisa Davies unveiled her first solo exhibition at the Godfrey Pilkington Art Gallery – in the World of Glass – at the weekend.
The preview event highlighted Kerry’s talent for precision and an ever-present interest with the play of light, or indeed the lack of it, on her chosen subjects.
The exhibition, has given Kerry the opportunity to bring different elements of her interests and ideas together. Although primarily a painter, Kerry is often trying new materials and techniques.
She describes herself as ‘a realist but with the soul of a dreamer’ and through her work endeavours to merge these essences of her character together. She aims to continually create work of a high standard technically and visually whilst expressing her imagination.
Many of paintings on display are for sale, with ten per cent of all proceeds donated to the World Society for the Protection of Animals.
The exhibition runs until 13 January.
