Spring start expected for new housing development in Prescot
National housebuilder Miller Homes has announced the purchase of the first phase of homes at its latest North West site, located in Prescot.
The development, which will be known as Sonnet Gate will consist of 84 homes across two phases.
Outline planning has been agreed for the initial 55 home phase, with full development planning permission likely to be determined in the next few months.
Building works are scheduled to start on the site in early spring, subject to planning approval. Contracts have also been exchanged on the second phase of the development for 29 homes which includes three affordable homes.
Sonnet Gate forms part of a wider 700-unit residential scheme, which includes a total of 84 homes to be built by Miller Homes. The land has already been fully remediated, and the main infrastructure installed, enabling a quick start that is likely to see the first number of new homes to be completed during 2021.
Sonnet Gate will bring a collection of three bedroom mews and three and four bedroom detached homes to the area, as well as affordable housing options.
The high-quality contemporary homes will provide an opportunity for those looking to get on, or take a step up, the property ladder.
Construction work is expected to start in spring and the unveiling of the first homes is anticipated for Autumn 2021.
Ian Smith, Managing Director for Miller Homes North West said, “Prescot is a popular location and we are excited to have secured this land for our latest development.
"With close proximity to Liverpool, it is a great location for families and young professionals as the development is well-placed for transport links to places of work as well as green open space.
"We’re looking forward to working with the Prescot community and to deliver to our high quality and award winning homes to the area.”
