JOHN Godber’s critically acclaimed comedy Bouncers has already proved an international hit.

No wonder then that bosses at St Helens Theatre Royal can’t wait to bring their updated version of the play - Bouncers: The Remix - to the stage.

Set in the present day, the it will transport audiences into that famous Pontefract nightclub Mr Cinders and a tale of high hopes, dented dreams and late-night kebabs.

Directed by Sylvie Gatrill, the production is set to be brought to life by a multi-talented cast which includes Brookside’s Simon O’Brien as Les, The Good Cop’s John F Doull as Lucky Eric, Neville Cann as Ralph and St Helens’ very own Benjamin Engelen as Judd.

Bouncers: The Remix follows the misadventures of four doormen who are preparing for another night working the doors.

Meanwhile Suzie and the girls are out on the town, as are Kev and his mates who are always on the pull.

Hilarity and madness ensue while the bouncers welcome the audience into the nightclub and do what they’re paid to do.

This hilarious, award-winning show is the mastermind of John Godber, whose work is performed across the globe.

His other hit plays include Up ‘n’ Under, Passion Killers and Salt Of The Earth.

You can catch Bouncers; The Remix at St Helens Theatre Royal from today (Wednesday, June 26) to Sunday (June 30).
