Ciggie Run back by popular demand

The Ciggie Run
The Ciggie Run

Hit adult comedy The Ciggie Run is set to return to the St Helens Theatre Royal by popular demand.

Following a fantastic reception last year, The Ciggie Run again promises to leave audiences laughing out loud with its hilarious mix of hysterical characters.

Starring Louis Emerick, of Brookside fame, the all-star cast also includes Kev Seed, Charlie Griffiths, Ben Engelen, John F Doull and Ozzie Yue.

Written by cabbie-turned playwright John Evans and directed by Sylvie Gatrill, the laugh-a-minute production once again promises to be a smoking success!

The Ciggie Run tells the tale of three blokes who plan a “ciggie run” to subsidise their income during the recession - with hilarious consequences.

Chrissie (Emerick) is doing his best to keep his creditors happy, Franna is doing his best to keep his wife happy and Lash is doing his best to keep Lash happy.

That is until local gangster Fitzy discovers that his unmarried daughter is destined for a stroll around Mothercare.

The culprit, a young Cuban by the name of Fernando, is advised to seek refuge back in his motherland el pronto.

And an ensuing flight then turns into hilarious comedy, as the lads - and Fernando - join forces on a ciggie run to Cuba.

The Ciggie Run is set to hit the stage at 7.30pm every evening from October 16-19.

Tickets, priced £15 for adults and £13 for concessions, are on sale now.
