Covid vaccination staff needed in St Helens
Staff are needed to help the Covid-19 vaccination programme that has got under way in St Helens.
The NHS is undertaking a massive recruitment drive to help it deliver the largest vaccination programme in its history.
As part of the Covid-19 vaccination programme, community vaccination centres will be set up across the region.
Saints’ Totally Wicked Stadium is the first community vaccination centre to open in Cheshire and Merseyside, and currently needs a range of roles filling.
Mass vaccination clinics coordinated by the borough’s GPs have been running at the stadium since Wednesday, and are expected to be operating well into next year, subject to availability of the vaccine.
A number of other vaccination centres are due to be announced within the region in the coming weeks.
Each centre will require a range of staff to fulfil a variety of roles and duties to ensure the successful delivery of the vaccine to their local area.
The jobs on offer will include a mixture of clinical and non-clinical roles, available as fixed term contracts and casual worker agreements, as well as volunteer opportunities.
The current roles include:
Vaccinator Support HCA
Vaccination Support Administration
Admin Support (Front of House)
While individuals with NHS experience are highly sought after, applicants from other employment backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply for roles matching their skills and experience.
In all roles, appropriate training, supervision, and PPE will be provided to ensure the safety of staff, volunteers, and patients.
