Membership unlocks additional value through in-store offers, and sees Members rewarded with 2p in every pound they spend on Co-op branded products which is added to their own personal Membership account balance. The Co-op also donates the same amount to local causes.

The store is also supporting Teardrops – which works to support the homeless and vulnerable in St Helens communities.

The new store is operated as a franchise, store owner, Stephen Richards, said: “We have had a great response - we’re really excited to launch Co-op’s first franchise store in the town.

"The store has a fantastic look and, we are looking forward to welcoming the community into their new store. We have worked to develop the range, choice, products and services locally that will create a really compelling offer in the community.”
