Saints' fans are being urged to arrive early for Friday night's all-ticket blockbuster against high-flying Warrington Wolves which is expected to attract the biggest of the season so far to the GPW Recruitment Stadium.
The ground capacity stands at 17,500 and earlier this week the club reported ticket sales of around 10,000, and also revealed that Warrington had sold 3,000 of their 5,000 allocation and were confident most of remainder would be snapped up.
It guarantees an electricity-charged and nerve-tingling atmosphere as Saints defend an unbeaten home record against their neighbours which stretches back to 1994 – two years before the Super League was launched.
And since the advent of summer rugby Warrington have only won one league encounter between the two clubs – a 52-22 victory at Wilderspool in 2001 - which was just eight days before Saints faced Bradford Bulls in the Challenge Cup Final at Twickenham.
But utility forward Paul Clough, who has never experienced defeat against the Wire at senior level, will not be thinking of a record which is unsurpassed in Super League history.
Clough said: "We will not be going into the game worrying whether or not we will surrender our 100 per cent home record against Warrington. I know it is an old clique but we take each game as it comes, irrespective of the opposition, and it will on different on Friday night."
He added: "At the same time we know it is going to be a tough 80 minutes. Warrington are a quality side and are playing really well at the moment as their league position suggested, but we are capable of beating anyone and will be disappointed if we don't pick the points."
Paul Wellens, who missed last week game with a dead leg, will be back in the starting line-up and so, too, will Tony Puletua after an 11th-hour back spasm forced him out of the same fixture.
Gary Wheeler will undergo a fitness test later in the week following a shoulder problem he picked up against the Welshmen and Aussie Matt Gidley (quad tear) could possibly return after a two-match absence.
Fans are reminded that if they snap up the remaining ground in advance they will save £1.50.
