Coach Daniel Anderson is set to name the seven Saints players on England duty against France on Friday in his 19-man squad to face Huddersfield Giants two days later.
Paul Wellens, Ade Gardner, Leon Pryce, James Graham, Jon Wilkin, James Roby and Maurie Fa'asavalu have all been named in Tony Smith's England squad and most, if not all, are likely to feature in the Toulouse international.

The Aussie coach and now is just keeping his fingers crossed that they come through the international unscathed.

Saints plan to pick up the players from the airport on their return home and whisk them back to the GPW Recruitment by early Saturday afternoon and assess their fitness for the following day's engage Super League clash.

It is hardly the best scenario and isn't helped by the fact that this week Anderson will not be in a position to organise a full training session ahead of the Giants' visit.

"I will announce my squad according to the rules but by the weekend it could be irrelevant, " said the head coach who hinted that under certain circumstances one or two fringe players could be given an opportunity at senior level.

Prop forward Graham, who has been in a rich vein of form all season, said: "I have no qualms about playing two games in the space of three days.

"We have a similar situation during the Easter period, even though that
doesn't entail as much travelling as we will face this week, but if I come through the international uninjured and if the gaffer wants me to play I will be ready."

Leon Pryce, who limped off at Leeds on Friday night late in the game is expected to be fit for the international and hopefully the league game on Sunday.

The stand off said: "I have a bit of a swelling around the leg and knee, but I think I wil be OK.

"I suffered a dead leg in the opening quarter of an hour and at half-time it seized up and stiffened. I went back out and stayed as long as possible before coming off when the game was won."

Teammate Fa'asavalu is set to earn his first England cap, even though he has already played twice for Great Britain. His inclusion in the squad also comes at a happy time in his personal life - his wife having recently given birth to their second child.
