Saints survived a ferocious battle with Hull KR to reach the semi-finals of the Challenge Cup for an eighth consecutive season with a 24-18 victory at Craven Park.
Great Britain winger Ade Gardner's try 10 minutes from time proved decisive as Saints scored four tries to three but Rovers, who twice hit back to level, were aggrieved to have two further scores disallowed.

Saints coach Daniel Anderson, who revealed Paul Wellens had played despite being sick before kick-off, said: "We just wouldn't give it up. I don't know what it is, we just had to do it because there is no redemption."
