Saints have insisted they are not on the threshold of announcing a head coach to replace Daniel Anderson who will be returning to his native Australia at the end of engage Super League X111.
Renewed speculations has once more linked Catalans Dragons boss Mick Potter with one of the most lucrative posts in the sport, but a statement issued by the Knowsley Road club this week said that 'at this point in time' they had not recruited a new supremo.

The statement said: "Naturally with Daniel leaving towards the end of the year, there is increased speculation on who or who may not be his successor.

"We intend to make an announcement before the end of the season but this will only occur once a new coach has actually been appointed.

"Until then we wish to make no further comment on the matter."
