Saints will be hoping to end a run of three successive defeats when they entertain fifth-in-the-table Harlequins on Friday, kick-off 7.30pm.
Daniel Anderson's outfit is currently languishing in the bottom half of the competition - something they haven't experienced at this particular stage of a season since the birth of summer rugby - and don't need reminding that when the Londoners travelled to snow-bound Knowsley Road 14 months ago they achieved a shock 14-6 victory.

But injury-ravaged Saints' stuttering start to engage Super League X111 doesn't unduly worry assistant coach Mike Rush.

Rush said: "We have no control over injuries, which are part and parcel of the sport, and where we now stand in the table after 10 games is irrelevant, but by the business end of the season I am confident we will be among the club competing for a top six place."

He added: "We have had opportunities to win some of the games which have slipped through our grasp despite the injury crisis and looking on the positive side I don't think things are as bad as some people make out."

Saints report no further injuries after Sunday's shock 30-24 defeat at Castleford and will also have flu victim Willie Talau and Bryn Hargreaves, who has been suffering from a calf problem, back in contention.

But there are no plans to include club skipper Paul Sculthorpe and Keiron Cunningham in the initial 19-man squad.

At the same time, both could be in line for a recall a week on Sunday when Saints start the defence of the Carnegie Challenge Cup against London Skolars at Knowsley Road.
