Paul Wellens was one of five players who received special accolades at the Man of Steel dinner in Manchester on Monday.
The Saints full-back received an award for making a significant and memorable contribution to Super League.

He, along with Robbie Paul (Salford), Stanley Gene (Hull KR), Lee Briers (Warrington) and Lee Radford (Hull FC), were honoured for reaching major milestones.

Last month Wellens completed 350 appearances for his home-town club.
Huddersfield Giants full-back Brett Hodgson was named as Man of Steel, pipping Warrington's Adrian Morley and last year's St Helens winner James Graham to the coveted title.

Graham, however, won the award for the top metre maker (4,752 metres).
Wigan's 20-year-old star Sam Tomkins collected the Young Player of the Year award ahead of Saints Kyle Eastmond and Richie Myler of Salford City Reds, while the Mike Gregory Spirit of RL award went to former Saints full-back Steve Prescott for his charity work.
