Veteran hooker Keiron Cunningham is a major injury doubt for this weekend's semi-final clash with Huddersfield.
The veteran former Great Britain international, who is bidding to reach a ninth final, spent a long spell off the field in last night's Super League derby win over Wigan with a knee injury.
Coach Mick Potter said: "He just got a bang on his knee so we will need to assess it."
Saints already have a lengthy injury list with Sean Long, Maurie Fa'asavalu, Jason Cayless, James Roby, Jonny Lomax and Gary Wheeler sidelined.
Paul Wellens also played last night with a broken hand while Lee Gilmour ended the game with a bandaged head.
Wigan also have their own injury concerns ahead of their semi-final against Warrington.
Centre Darrell Goulding became their latest casualty after dislocating his shoulder in a challenge on Gilmour in yesterday's dramatic 10-6 defeat.
Coach Brian Noble said: "We will have to juggle around again."
Centre or second row Phil Bailey should at least return after a dead leg and captain Sean O'Loughlin is an outside chance after more than a month out with a knee problem. Tim Smith and Michael McIlorum are long-term absentees.
Noble must now lift his players after their five-match winning run was ended by a last-gasp Kyle Eastmond try at the GPW Recruitment Stadium.
He said: "Our minds will be fine for next week, they will get over this. If you can't get up for that one you're struggling."
