Anderson expects Bulls to bounce back
Saints coach Daniel Anderson expects Bradford to battle through their current slump.
Anderson is taking nothing for granted ahead of tonight's engage Super League meeting at the GPW Recruitment Stadium despite the Bulls carrying form and injury worries.
The Yorkshire club have lost their last three matches, all at home, to slip into a three-way tie for fifth in Super League and out of the Challenge Cup.
Their gloom has also been exacerbated by the absence of seven senior players through injury and disappointing crowds at the Grattan Stadium.
Saints by contrast are safely through to the cup semi-finals and have won their last six league games but Anderson still expects a strong showing from the Bulls.
The Australian said: ''They are very dangerous and have been very successful for a number of years. We are very wary of them.
''It has been a little bit of a battle for them but you go through tough patches in a season.
''Bradford are going through that tough patch at the moment and we have been through one ourselves this year.
''There is not much you can do about it other than continue to work as hard as you can.''
Saints have some injury problems themselves with forwards Jason Cayless and Chris Flannery both ruled out for prolonged periods with medial ligament injuries.
With Mike Bennett and Nick Fozzard also missing, Saints have added inexperienced 18-year-old Gareth Frodsham to their squad.
''We have had our fair share of injuries inflicted upon us but once again we are going to work through it,'' said Anderson.
Bradford this week had Glenn Morrison ruled out for the season while Terry Newton, Tame Tupou and Andy Lynch have also joined a lengthy injury list that features Paul Deacon, Wayne Godwin and Chris Nero.
The injury crisis has seen coach Steve McNamara add two 18-year-old part-timers in Keal Carlile, a hooker from Pontefract, and full-back Kieran Hyde, of Barnsley, to his squad.
McNamara said: ''We are really down on numbers, but I don't think it's as deep as some people have been trying to suggest.
''Yes we have lost three games on the bounce, and one of them was the Challenge Cup, but there have been some circumstances and things that have gone against us in that period.
''Within parts of those games we have shown some good things to suggest we will be okay but generally things have not quite gone for us. We have been under the pump but we have just got to keep working hard and turn it around.''
