Three week road closure in St Helens

One of the main routes into St Helens will be closed for three weeks.
The A571 is to shut to allow United Utilities to complete a large project to renew water mains.

College Street will be closed off to vehicles from the railway bridge, near to Haresfinch.

Diversion routes for vehicles will be in place, signposting traffic via Haresfinch View, Washway Lane, City Road, North Road and College Street and vice versa.

The closure started on Monday, September 8. It will not be affect pedestria access.
