Hundreds of scouts, cubs and beavers enjoyed a special gala last week to celebrate 100 years of scouting in St Helens.
The event, held on the playing fields at the back of Rivington High School, brought hundreds of youngsters together to enjoy good food, entertaining stalls, games and the scouts five-a-side football competition.
The winner of this years competition was the 14th Clock Face A team who
beat a team from the 2nd Eccleston Park in the final.
Chris Williams, St Helens Scouts District Commissioner, said "The gala was a fantastic success, the sun shone and everyone had a great time celebrating our centenary.
"I hope Scouting can continue for the next 100 years, and help the young people of St Helens prepare for adult life in a fun, exciting and challenging way."
