Former Saints star Steve Prescott may have been awarded an MBE in the Queen's New Year's Honours List - but he's keeping his feet firmly on the ground.
The ex Great Britain full back's next fund-raising charity challenge will be to take on BDO World Championship darts finalist Dave Chisnall at the Moss Bank Labour Club oche!

Joined by current Saints stars Paul Wellens, Nick Fozzard and Ade Gardner - plus former captain Paul Sculthorpe - Steve will join eight members of the audience to take on Chizzy at darts.

Also set to join in with the fun next Monday (February 15) will be Super League players Stephen Wild, Lee Briers and Micky Higham.

In September 2006, Steve was diagnosed with pseudomyxoma peritonei, an ultra-rare form of cancer, and was given months to live.

But after undergoing an emergency operation to remove a tumour from his stomach, the father-of-two has since astounded medical experts by building himself back up to his rugby playing weight and taking on a string of high-profile charity challenges.

Although the darts is set to be the main attraction on Monday night, other entertainment will include two dance routines from the Wakefield Wildcat Dolls and a set by stand-up comedian Dudley Doolittle.

Karl Kirkpatrick will also be on hand to make sure the evening runs smoothly.

All money raised on the night will go to the Steve Prescott Foundation in association with Engage Mutual, which supports The Christie Hospital and the Try Assist Fund.

Tickets, priced £10 each, are available from the Saints club shops, Moss Bank Labour Club or online at: www.charitiestrust.org/content/purchases/lets_play_darts_moss_bank_labour_club/index.html
Doors open at 7pm.
