Passenger, 23, dies after crash

A 23-year-old has died after a horrific car smash on Marshalls Cross Road.
Graham Pinnington was a passenger in a Renault Megane when the it span out of control and hit a parked car on Sunday (June 22).

He suffered severe head, leg and internal injuries.

The 23-year-old, of The Willows, Clock Face, was rushed to Whiston Hospital where he remained in intensive care. He died on Saturday morning (June 28).

An inquest was opened and adjourned on Tuesday (July 1). The male driver, 39, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and released on police bail. Another passenger suffered minor injuries.
