Poignant tributes have been paid to murdered teenager John Marsh - the 15-year-old schoolboy died in hospital after he was stabbed on Hempstead Close in Sutton Heath at about 11.40pm on Saturday night (November 21).
A dedicated page on the Facebook social networking site - entitled RIP John Marsh You Will Be Missed - already features hundreds of moving tributes.
Among the messages is one posted by Keith Rathbone which reads: "What is going on in the world when this happens to such a young man? I really don't know what to say. All I can say is that my thoughts are with Johnny and Pat at this terrible, terrible time. I can't imagine what the family is going through. Much Love X."
Another, posted by Ian Bond, reads: "Stuck for words to say but I'm thinking ever so deeply, my thoughts are with your family and their loss. Sleep well dear John sleep well. You're in the forefront of everyone's hearts and minds of the Heath and beyond. You will be sorely missed by all. RIP."
A message posted by Naomi Greenall reads: "RIP darling. It's a horrible tragedy what has happened. It's obvious you blessed so many lives with your presence. May you now be an angel looking down on us guiding your family and friends through such troubling times as this. Sweet dreams and God bles
