Inquest opened into 'murder' victim's death

An inquest into the death of a St Helens man - which sparked a murder investigation - has been opened and adjourned.
David Paul Ingham, 39, of Tickle Avenue, Parr, was admitted to Whiston Hospital on Monday, June 15, and tragically died two days later.

A forensic post mortem was carried out but the results have not yet been released.

A 39-year-old woman and a 55-year-old man, who are both from St Helens, were arrested on suspicion of murder.

Both have since been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
