A bedroom was destroyed when an electric blanket caught fire on Sunday morning (March 15).
Crews from Parr Stocks Fire Station were called out to a house on Clock Face Road at about 7.30am.

Firefighters spent about an hour dampening down the blaze, which left the upstairs bedroom severely damaged.

Luckily, there was nobody sleeping in the property at the time.
