Brown - I considered walking away early

Huddersfield Giants head coach Nathan Brown.

SAINTS-bound Nathan Brown has admitted he has considered quitting Huddersfield early after his side’s alarming slump in form.

Brown joins St Helens as head coach at the end of the season but many believe he should have left once the deal was announced.

Since it emerged Brown was heading for Langtree Park, the Giants’ form has dipped, culminating in last Sunday’s 52-6 thrashing by Castleford.

Brown said: “I think that is something that you always think about and if the team doesn’t try then you have got to look at that.”
