IN-form Jonny Lomax scored 28 points in a dazzling individual display in his new full-back role as Saints overpowered Wakefield 52-18 to claim their first home win under Nathan Brown.

The 22-year-old scored a hat-trick of tries and kicked a near-perfect eight goals as St Helens broke the resistance of the injury-hit Wildcats at Langtree Park.

The only disappointment for Brown was an ankle injury to hooker James Roby, who did not return for the second half and will go for scans before linking up with England this weekend.
