PAUL Sculthorpe will NOT be joining arch-rivals Wigan next season.

The Reporter understands the former club skipper is quite happy with his current role as Saints business development manager, and will no doubt be used by the club in a promotional capacity when they move into the new stadium.

He already has one or two off-the-field activities, which also keep him occupied, and although Wigan wanted the former Great Britain skipper to join their backroom staff next season, he felt the time wasn’t right.

But it’s not to say further down the line he may decide to put his vast experience to the test by becoming a club coach – just not at the moment.
