SAINTS have suspended scrum-half Kyle Eastmond while they investigate him for alleged “serious misconduct”.
The 21-year-old, who recently announced that he is to switch codes and join rugby union side Bath at the end of the Super League season, had to apologise to fans last month after walking straight down the tunnel following Saints’ 25-18 defeat to local rivals Warrington.
The nature of the miscinduct allegation against Eastmond is not yet known.
A club statement simply read: “St Helens RLFC have announced that Kyle Eastmond has been suspended pending an investigation into serious misconduct. No further comment will be made until completion of the investigation.”
