Aussie playmaker Luke Walsh is “on the mend” according to Saints coach Nathan Brown.
Walsh, who has adapted to Super League like a duck to water, was ruled out for four to six weeks after suffering a calf injury in the 40-22 win over Catalans Dragons.
Centre Jordan Turner, who was ruled out for three to four weeks at the same time, will still be harbouring hopes of proving his fitness for next week’s Challenge Cup clash with Huddersfield.
Brown said: “Luke is heading in the right direction, as is Jordan Turner, but we’re not really going to have any idea about our cup side until next week.
“We definitely won’t be anywhere near full strength. There’s no doubt about that. Every coach just wants to have their best shot at the cup with their best players and I’m no different.”
