SPORTS student, Jordon Gibbons jetting Down under in pursuit of his dream of playing professional rugby league for world-renowned Saints.
Saints have invited Jordon, along with 24 other rugby hopefuls to a three-week trip to Sydney, Australia.
During their overseas visit, the 25 future stars will compete against talented young players from across the world.
The former Standish High School pupil said: “I left school unsure of the direction I was going in. I visited the College and immediately decided the sport course at Wigan and Leigh was for me.
“The tutors are really friendly and everyone on the course is great too. Although I’m hoping to establish a successful career in rugby, I know it’s important to have a back-up plan.
“The College has provided me with that plan to pursue a career in physiotherapy after my rugby career.”
The aspiring star, who has developed his abilities further through the College’s Rugby Development Programme, is set to join the club’s renowned Academy Team in 2016.
