SAINTS ensured third spot in the engage Super League table following their 31-6 home victory over Salford City Reds – but coach Royce Simmons insists he will not be making wholesale changes for the final fixture of the regular season at Harlequins on Saturday afternoon.
There is nothing at stake, and for all intents and purposes, it is a dead rubber, but the Aussie will be fielding the strongest team available.
He said: “We suffered no further injuries against Salford, which is a bonus, while those who missed the game were either busted or injured.
“I certainly won’t be resting any players at the weekend, and didn’t do so last Friday night.
“It’s also important to go into games on the back of a good win, and that’s the position we find ourselves in.”
Jon Wilkin is expected to return to the squad following a one-match suspension for tripping at Hull KR a fortnight ago.
And Gary Wheeler, easing his way back after a lengthy spell on the sidelines following shoulder surgery, will also be knocking on the first-team door.
The centre/winger grabbed a try and landed seven goals, as the reserves crushed Salford on Friday to secure the last play-off spot.
