LIVERPOOL centre back Martin Skrtel could be on his way out of the club.

Slovaka international Skrtel is being targeted by Premier League champions Manchester City.

The big-spending Blues moved after contract talks between Skrtel’s agent and Anfield bosses stalled.

Skrtel was Liverpool’s player of the season last season and commands wages of around £60,000 per week.

His agent, Karol Cstonto, said: “Some changes have been made at the club and he wants to know what the aims and ambitions are.

“And, of course, we will discuss the issue of Martin’s new contract.

“Liverpool is a big club and just because they haven’t made the Champions League this year doesn’t mean they would not do it next year.

“There are expectations on both sides, though.”
