Tommy Makinson will miss tomorrow’s Battle of the Roses with Hull FC at Langtree Park.

The flyer picked up a leg injury in the Easter Monday fixture against Widnes at the Select Security Stadium..

He joins fellow first choice wingman Adam Swift on the side lines as sixth-placed Saints seek to overtake their Humberside rivals in the Super League table.

Second rower Morgan Knowles is recalled to the 19-man squad and could make his third appearance of the season.

Coach Keiron Cunningham said: “Hull are a team who potentially can do good things this year and have already beaten both Hull KR and Warrington Wolves.

“We know the threat and danger they pose and will need to be ready for them. It is the third game for both sides in a busy Easter period and is always the toughest one.”
