St Helens v Wigan Warriors, Super League Play-offs Qualifying Semi-final: Sainst players form a guard of honour for James Graham after his last home game for St Helens

NRL-bound James Graham was given a guard of honour by his teammates as he departed the field after Saturday’s semi-final win.

The popular prop, who joins Canterbury Bulldogs next season, was applauded as he made his way down the tunnel after a barn-storming display which will live long in the memories of Saints fans.

Winger Jamie Foster praised the club’s joint skipper, describing the 25-year-old as the ultimate professional.

“James is absolutely fantastic,” said Foster, “and I’m not trying to big him up because of the situation he is in.

“He’s an absolute professional. He knows when to joke, but when he goes out on the training field, the younger blokes just follow him.”
