Former Saints prop James Graham is fit and rarin’ to go!

That’s the message from boss Wayne Bennett ahead of England’s must win against Australia in the Four Nations Championship at the Olympic Stadium, London, on Sunday.

It’s important to have James back, he brings a lot to the team

The Canterbury captain, who left St Helens at the end of the 2011 season to test himself in the NRL, missed last week-end’s 38-12 victory over Scotland with a medial ligament injury and there were fears he wouldn’t be fit to face the formidable Kangaroos.

But Bennett insisted yesterday: “He will definitely play.”

The head coach added: “It’s important to have James back, he’s brings a lot to the team and he’ll. He’ll be good for us.”

Bennett is also likely to restore St George Illawarra’s Gareth Widdop to the side after leaving the five-eighth out of the Scotland game.

“He’s experienced and played 20-odd Tests as well,” he said.

“That brings a lot to the team, that is part of the decision I have to make.”

Saints’ duo Jonny Lomax and Mark Percival will be hoping to get the nod from Bennett when he announces his 19-man squad tomorrow (Friday).
