n A NEWTON girls football team have won a sponsorship deal with a renowned homebuilder.

Vulcan Juniors girls U-11s will proudly display the Jones Homes logo on their shirts next season.

The team is the club’s newest, and will compete in the Warrington Junior League.

They are one of eight boys and girls sides based at Vulcan Playing Fields, which is adjacent to Jones Homes’ Newlands Grange development, just off Wargrave Road, Newton-le-Willows.

The future is looking bright for the club – not only are there local plans to replace existing facilities with new state-of-the-art sporting amenities alongside Newlands Grange, there are also plans to introduce more teams in other age groups.

Club chairman Andy Boyack said: “We’re grateful for the generous support of Jones Homes and proud to be associated with such a prestigious company.

“We’re sure the new residential development will bring many benefits to the community, and we’re looking forward to welcoming a new influx of players from families moving on to Newlands Grange.”

Jones Homes’ managing director Gary Hardy said: “We are delighted to be involved in the local community through our association with Vulcan Juniors.

“We are pleased to support the club’s efforts of providing a safe environment in which children can enjoy football.”
